PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a yellow pigment composition for a color filter with low viscosity and giving a pigment dispersion excellent in storing stability, and to provide a color filter excellent in transparency using the same.;SOLUTION: The yellow pigment composition comprises a quinophthalone-based pigment and a sulfonic acid metal salt thereof, where the sulfonic acid metal salt of the quinophthalone-based pigment is a sulfonic acid bivalent metal salt of the quinophthalone-based pigment.
