PHOSPHOR FOR WHITE LED AND WHITE LED USING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor for a white LED in which the intensity of bluish green light at 480 nm in the emission spectrum is lower than before, and to provide a white LED using this phosphor. PSOLUTION: The phorphor for a white LED comprises a borate phorphor. The borate phorphor comprises a compound represented by the formula: mMSP1/SPO-nBSB2/SBOSB3/SBand an activator comprising one or more selected from the group consisting of Eu and Dy, wherein MSP1/SPdenotes one or more selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; m is from 1 to 4; and n is from 0.5 and 10.
