PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance cooling ability of a portable type power work machine engine and quickly reduce clogging of an air cleaner.;SOLUTION: In this portable type power work machine 10, a cylinder 21 is horizontally arranged inside a body housing 12, an air-cooled engine 20 is installed with its head part 20a faced backward, and a cooling fan 25 driven by the engine 20 is arranged to one side 12L of the body housing 12. In this power work machine 10, an air introducing rib 28 for introducing cooling air to the cylinder 21 is projected toward inside at a rear part of the cooling fan 25 in the one side 12L of the body housing 12, an inlet passage 50 is formed for introducing air to intake systems 30, 34 and 35 of the engine 20, and an inlet opening 55 opens near a rear face side base part 28a of the air introducing rib 28 in the inlet passage 50.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
