PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform registration of changing an apparatus ID with a simple method without damaging security performance.;SOLUTION: A security device for an in-vehicle electronic apparatus is equipped with: a memory means 15 which is provided on in-vehicle electronic apparatuses 5, 6 and performs the registration of the apparatus ID for identifying the in-vehicle electronic apparatuses; the apparatus ID from the vehicle installing the in-vehicle electronic apparatus; a collation means 14 collating with the apparatus ID registered in the memory means; and an operation control means 14 which allows or controls the operation of the in-vehicle electronic apparatus based on the collation result. The device is also provided with a registration cancellation means 14 which cancels the registration of the apparatus ID when the apparatus ID from the vehicle includes the information to cancel the registration of the apparatus ID, and a registration means which registers the apparatus ID from the vehicle into the memory means when the apparatus ID is not registered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
