PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fertilizer with which fertilizer components meeting the requirement of various kinds of crops are supplied, a nutrient absorbing root of the crop is guided and concentrated around the applied fertilizer without giving damage to the root of the crop to increase the number of cultures of the crop per unit area and a culturing method. PSOLUTION: The culturing method is a dense planting culturing method performed by partially applying a coated granular fertilizer filling pile formed by filling the fertilizer containing a coated granular fertilizer in which the elution of the components is controlled in a cylindrical vessel having a shape easy to drive into the ground to the rooting zone of the crop to guide the nutrient absorbing root around the coated granular fertilizer filling pile to concentrate the rooting zone of the crop.
