PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prepare a test pattern for an updated program when contents of a program to be tested are changed. PSOLUTION: When the contents of a program to be developed are updated, updated operation descriptions 1 defining the operation contents of functions included in the updated program to be developed are acquired (a step S1). Then, pre-update operation descriptions 2a whose commonality with the updated operation descriptions is high are selected from a plurality of pre-update operation descriptions 2 defining the operation contents of functions included in the pre-update program to be developed (a step S2), and a pre-update test pattern 3a for the operation test of the selected pre-update operation descriptions is extracted from the plurality of pre-update test patterns 3 prepared for the operation test of the pre-update program to be developed, and at least a portion of the extracted pre-update test pattern 3a is succeeded so that an updated test pattern 4 for the operation test of the updated operation descriptions 1 can be generated (a step S4).
