INTERNAL FIXATION MEMBER FOR TREATMENT OF FRACTURE OF FEMORAL NECK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal fixation member with which acceleration of bone coalition is expected with addition of proper pressure force permitting moderate sliding by eliminating fear of causing the excessive axial movement of a screw.;SOLUTION: The main screw 3 of the internal fixation member 1 comprises a base part 3c having the same diameter as a tip screw part 3a and having one round of a groove 3b formed with the same pitch as that of the tip screw part 3a. In a main screw guiding hole 2d, a stopper piece 6 which can elastically be deformed in the direction of a screw shaft and is engaged with the tip screw part 3a and the groove 3b is projectingly provided on the side of the rear surface of a plate. The main screw 3 is moved in an axial direction with a load exerting on a bone caput after a surgery however stops when sliding to a position where the stopper piece 6 is engaged with the groove 3b. Since the groove 3b is formed for one round, the stopper 6 is engaged every sliding time and the main screw 3 can easily be removed when it is rotated in a pulling out direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
