PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To markedly automate issuing of special prizes or exchanging of the special prizes to exchanges, and to secure sufficient security in spite of automating them.;SOLUTION: This special prize processing system comprises a special prize issuing apparatus and a special prize exchanging apparatus. When issuing the special prizes, the special prize issuing apparatus writes issuing distinction information to the tags of the special prizes by non-contacting communication, and transfers specific information for regulating the value and the number of exchanges corresponding to the special prizes to be ejected this time to the special prize exchanging apparatus at a prescribed timing. The special prize exchanging apparatus obtains the issuing distinction information by non-contacting communication from inserted special prizes, confirms the authenticity of the inserted special prizes based on at least this issuing distinction information and the specific information previously obtained from the side of the special prize issuing apparatus about the inserted special prizes or obtained at the inserting timing of the special prizes of this time, and ejects the exchanges.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
