PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication mode adjustment device, a communication mode adjusting method, a communication mode adjustment program, and a recording medium of the communication mode adjustment program which easily detect the mismatching status of communication modes by only installing it between Ethernet (R) interfaces, and at the same time, if the mismatching status of the communication modes can be adjusted, the communication mode adjustment device can automatically adjust, in order to match both communication modes.;SOLUTION: The device comprises a detection means which detects the presence or the absence of signals, relating to negotiation of communication modes transmitted from communication devices which performs communication, and communication modes established based on the characteristics of signals related to negotiation of received communication modes, when the signal is transmitted from communication devices, and a control means which performs adjustment, in order to agree communication modes between communication devices performing the communication, or cut the communication, in case of communication in which the correspondence of the selected communication modes are in an unmatched state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
