PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new genetic group expressing specifically to tissues or organs in a developmental stage of a sea squirt and to provide a method for utilizing the new genetic group.;SOLUTION: The new genetic group is isolated from Ciona intestinalis and expresses specifically to tissues or organs in the developmental stage of the sea squirt. The new genetic group derived from the sea squirt is useful for elucidation of generation mechanism of each tissue and each organ and useful for investigation of the cause of various kinds of genetic diseases caused by abnormality in the developmental stage and improvement of a method for diagnosing or treating these diseases.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
