PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple centrifugal settling tube for sludge and wastewater with which dewatering performance (water content of slurry after dewatering) achieved by a process using a practical centrifugal dewatering machine can be precisely obtained with a good reproducibility when the dewatering performance is checked in advance, and a method for evaluating the dewatering performance for slurry. PSOLUTION: The centrifugal settling tube for sludge and wastewater comprises an upper tube body having a flange at its bottom end, a lower tube body having a flange at its top end and a perforated plate interposed between the upper and the lower tube bodies connected with each other. The bottom end of the upper tube body is set to abut on the top end of the lower tube body with the perforated plate disposed between them and the flanges of the two bodies are detachably fastened to form the centrifugal settling tube for sludge and wastewater. The method for evaluating the dewatering performance of slurry measures the water content of the slurry after dewatering by dewatering the slurry using the settling tube for sludge and wastewater.
