PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user of a miniaturized mobile terminal to receive an indication of an image of the miniaturized mobile terminal on a large display screen as desired, and to provide various kinds of information to spectators at various places. PSOLUTION: In a public display device 100 which is installed at a place available for the general public, is provided with an image display part 107 having a display screen larger than a display screen of a miniaturized mobile terminal 200 and a short range communication control part 101, reproduces a first image received via the short range communication control part 101 or a second image received via a communication control part 102 and outputs the reproduced image on the image display part 107, the first image received from the miniaturized mobile terminal 200 is reproduced and outputted to the image display part 107 and in accordance with the reproduction start of the first image, the reproduction of the second image outputted to the image display part 107 in advance is stopped or in accordance with the reproduction start of the first image, the second image outputted to the image display part 107 in advance is reduced and displayed.
