PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pseudo resistor for a strain gage that generates arbitrary resistance value, and a strain calibrator that sets arbitrary initial resistance value and generates resistance value over a wide range.;SOLUTION: The pseudo resistor for the strain gauge generates a resistance value equivalent to that of the strain gauge, and comprises a pair of input voltage terminals, a voltage dividing circuit for dividing a voltage so as to control an input voltage value input to a pair of the input voltage terminals at a voltage value corresponding to a command value, and a reference resistor with a prescribed resistance provided so that the difference between the voltage value divided by the voltage dividing circuit is applied and an input voltage, and a current equivalent to that flowing between the input voltage terminals flows therein. Then, the resistance value between the input voltage terminals is defined based on the command value. The strain calibrator generates a resistance value Rε calculated from the equation Rε= R0(Kε+1)(where, K: a gauge factor) in the pseudo resistor for the strain gage, from a resistance value R0 predetermined as the resistance value of the pseudo resistor for the strain gauge, corresponding to non-strain status and the desired strain value ε.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
