PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To autonomously adapt the APC parameter of a coal mill most affected by the properties of coal without exerting effect on a boiler operation state to keep the stable and highly efficient operation of a coal burning boiler. ;SOLUTION: In the coal burning boiler having a plurality of coal mills 18, a state adaptation part for performing correction processing with respect to the APC parameter utilized in APC is provided and a function for autonomously correcting the correction factor of the APC parameter is applied to the state adaptation part. Further, turblent operation led out on the basis of the operation number of the mills is applied to the respective mills in order to suppress the effect on the boiler due to turblent operation applied to the coal mills 18 at the time of searching of new adaptation data to autonomously adapt the APC parameter to a disturbance factor such as a change in combustion properties or the like while suppressing the effect on the operation state of the boiler due to turblent operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
