PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a peptide having actions so as to effectively produce antimicrobial effects without causing problems of adverse effects even on patients with reduced functions of organs. SOLUTION: This new peptide is characterized as comprising Lys-Arg-Leu- Phe-Arg-Arg-Leu-Leu-Phe-Ser-Met-Lys-Lys-Tyr. Furthermore, the new peptide is characterized as having sterilizing actions and/or inhibitory actions on growth of microorganisms.
