PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for charging a stored fare capable of automatically charging when a residual amount becomes less even if a charge operation is not performed by a user at the place of a dedicated machine.;SOLUTION: Negative data is fed from a credit card system 200 to an automatic ticket examining machine beforehand to store the negative data in a negative data storing part 14. When a user passes through the automatic ticket examining machine, a card interface part 11 reads a credit card member code from a stored fare card 50, and delivers the code to a control part 12. When an amount lowers below a predetermined charge lower limit when a specified subtracted amount is subtracted from the stored fare residual amount, the automatic ticket examining machine 10 generates a credit sales data by using the read credit card member code, and charges the stored fare residual amount automatically.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
