The invention refers to medicine, in particular to traumatology and orthopedics.Summary of the invention consists in that the method of talocrural joint arthrodesis includes the longitudinal incision of the skin onto the lateral part of the shank from the lateral malleolus apex level into proximal direction, preparation of the fibula, removal of the periosteum distal portion with the transversal resection thereof, section of the interosseous membrane, the tibioperoneal and the external ligaments, formation of a groove onto the external side of the tibia and the astragalus, resection of the articular surfaces, placement and fixation with screws of the fibula into the formed groove, afterwards the wound is sutured and it is applied a plaster bandage. The periosteum is only removed from the inner side of the fibula, onto a distal portion of 12 cm, and the resection is made with the preservation of the neurovascular band, with which it is placed into the groove formed onto the tibia and the astragalus.
