The invention relates to the field of inorganic chemistry, in particular to the method of simultaneous modernization of plant for ammonium synthesis and plant for urea synthesis, to the method for simultaneous production of ammonium and urea in the plant and to the plant for simultaneous production of ammonium and urea. A method for simultaneous modernization of the plant for ammonium synthesis and the plant for urea synthesis provides installing supplementary sections for carbamate synthesis and sections for decomposition thereof to obtain a specified amount of carbamate in aqueous solution and hydrogen and nitrogen in the gas phase being supplied to the existing sections of urea synthesis and respectively of ammonium synthesis. A method for modernization provides for a considerable increase of productive capacity and simultaneous reduction of power inputs of plants for ammonium and urea synthesis, in general without constrained change or overload of existing sections of decarbonization, methanation and compression.
