METHOD OF THE PREOPERATIONAL DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF THE BENIGN AND MALIGNANT TUMORS OF THE THYROID GLAND

The proposed method of the preoperational differential diagnosis of the benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid gland consists in taking the puncture of thyroid gland and detecting iodoperoxidase in the cells of the follicular epithelium of the thyroid gland, employing an adapted cytochemical analysis method. The benign tumor is diagnosed if active iodoperoxidase is detected in all the cells, and the malignant tumor is diagnosed if no active iodoperoxidase is present.
