A convertible multi-fuel diesel engine with ignition by spark includes serial cylinder block, cylinder head with combustion chamber and socket for the spark-plug installation, spark-plug, piston, crankshaft of petrol engine, and high pressure fuel pump, fore-chamber with a nozzle for fuel supply and side opening. As the conversion object petrol engine is taken to which to the socket of the spark-plug in the cylinder head fore-chamber is installed, with a nozzle for fuel supply, in such a way that the fore-chamber is connected to the combustion chamber through the spark-plug opening. The spark-plug is installed in the cylinder head in such a way that its electrodes are in the side opening of the fore-chamber. The piston has an onlay corresponding in shape and dimensions to the combustion chamber, this is for increase of the compression level of the engine.
