The present invention relates to a method for synchronizing synchronous generators and an automatic synchronization device. The proposed method consists in measuring the phase shift angle between the output voltages of the generators, connecting the generators to each other at the instant when the said voltages are zero, and excluding the possibility for the increase of the difference between the frequencies of the generators.
