The arrangement is for fitting a lighting fixture on a line and comprises a shaped wire (1,2) which when fitted in the fixture can be turned in its angle to the axis of the line and thereby can adopt separate positions for fitting on the line and locking in relation to it. The arrangement is provided with a stirrup hook (3) which is open in its fitting position. The stirrup hook can be placed over the line and by rotation of the arrangement to its position for locking the stirrup hook encloses the line, locking the arrangement to the line.
