The invention provides a mapping and de-mapping process between the giga Ethernet data package and SDH frames characterized by that, a cascading virtual container created form a virtual cascading is used to contain each route of giga Ethernet data, thus by using small quantity and low speed SDH frame to realize SDH transmission, the bandwidth resource is fully utilized. Besides, because each virtual container in the virtual cascading container are mutually-independent, flexibility and convenience are achieved by the invention.
