The invention relates to a device for determining and/or monitoring at least one physical process parameter for a medium, comprising at least one sensor (1), which generates at least one control signal and at least one processing/supply unit (2). The processing/supply unit (2) is provided with at least one transformer unit (24), having an input (20, 21, 25) and an output (22, 23, 26), for non-galvanic coupling to the sensor (1). The sensor (1) is connected to the output (22, 23, 26) and the control signal from the sensor (1) determines at least the value of an electrical parameter applied to the input (20, 21, 25). At least one transformer (4) is provided in the transformer unit (24) with a primary (5) and a secondary side (6) and the transformer unit (24) has transformation properties pertaining to at least one electrical parameter. A switch (8, 19) is provided which alters the transformation property of the transformer unit (24) pertaining to at least one electrical parameter, depending on the control signal from the sensor (1).
