The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a device (1) for hydraulically adjusting the angle of rotation of the camshaft (3) thereof relative to the crankshaft thereof, and a vacuum pump (17) for a servo consumer. Said device (1) encompasses a drive unit (6) that is connected in a driving manner to the crankshaft and an output unit (7) which is connected in a torsion-proof manner to the camshaft (3). The lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine, which is bled from a radial bearing (4) of the camshaft (3) in the cylinder head (5), is used as a hydraulic pressurizing agent for the device (1). The vacuum pump (17) encompasses a housing (19) that is flanged to the cap (18) of the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine, and a rotor that is disposed therein and is provided with a drive shaft (20) via which the vacuum pump (17) is driven and lubricated. The inventive vacuum pump (17) is arranged in an axial direction relative to the device (1) while said device (1) is embodied with additional coupling elements via which the drive shaft (20) of the vacuum pump (17) is connected in a driving manner to the device (1). The vacuum pump (17) is lubricated by means of the lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine, which is delivered to the device (1) as a pressurizing agent.
