Transmission power control method for a transmitting station, transmitting station and radio system

Control of transmission output (SL) from a transmitting station (BS) lets a transmitting station detect signals (MC) via an air interface to a receiving station (MS1) that defines a value (Q1) for reception quality of signals received and compares that value with a desired value (SW). The receiving station uses the signal to transmit data about quality to the transmitting station only if the value for reception quality is worse than the desired value. Data on quality (QI1) sent by the receiving station adjusts transmission output of the transmitting station. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A receiving station with a receiver unit for receiving signals from a transmitting station; (b) and for a radio system with receiving and transmitting stations.
