PURPOSE: A complex cylindrical damping apparatus having a metal spring damping material, a viscoelastic damping material and an air spring damping material is provided to improve damping efficiency by offsetting demerits of damping materials, and to cut down expenses by improving endurance. CONSTITUTION: A complex damping apparatus comprises a base plate(2) combined with a fixing structure; a cylinder(4) integrally formed in the base plate; and a damper assembly contained in the cylinder. The damper assembly has an upper layer(10) including a connecting piece(12) and an upper viscoelastic member(11) surrounding the connecting piece, an intermediate layer(20) having an intermediate viscoelastic member(21) combined with the lower part of the upper layer to restrict a buffer cooling chamber(25) for containing cooling air or liquid and a coil spring(22) inserted to the intermediate viscoelastic member, and a lower layer(30) having a lower viscoelastic member(31). The damper assembly is compressed and expanded in the cylinder in receiving load or vibration.
