A small Dual-Mode Retractable Antenna which is extensible for high antenna gain in a Wireless Communication Terminal and it's Method

PURPOSE: A small dual-mode retractable antenna for wireless communication terminal and it's method are provided to increase the gain and enhance the quality of communication by controlling the length of the antenna. CONSTITUTION: A small dual-mode retractable antenna includes a non-metal insulation portion(31), an upper stepped rod portion(32), a lower stepped rod portion(33), a helical upper stepped rod connection portion(34), a helical coil portion(35), and a feeding portion(36). An open side of a radiator and a gain of the antenna are efficiently increased by connecting the upper stepped rod portion(32) and the lower stepped rod portion(33) to the helical upper stepped rod connection portion(34) instead of the feeding portion(36) when the small dual-mode retractable antenna is extended fully.
