A Japanning Sound Tube and Product method for The Korea Classical Stringed Instrument

PURPOSE: A lacquered sound box of Korean stringed instrument and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve a mother-of-pearl sound box by attaching pearl members to the mother-of-pearl sound box. CONSTITUTION: Impurities are removed from an outer surface of a sound box including an upper resonant plate and a lower resonant plate and the outer surface of the sound box is evenly and smoothly maintained by performing a finishing process(11). Then, the sound box is lacquered in a cleaning room(12). After that, gaps formed in the sound box are filled up with a mixture including grains of boiled rice and sawdust, and lacquer, which are mixed in a ratio of 35-45%:10-20%:40-50%(14). Then, yellow soil powders, lacquer and glue are mixed to each other and the mixture is applied to a surface of the sound box so as to fill gaps formed in the sound box(18). After that, lacquer is applied to the sound box and a drying process is carried out(20). Then, a polishing process is carried out(25).
