A protocol converter that implements a composite protocol converter as a set of atomic protocols converters

PURPOSE: A protocol converter by using the set of atom protocols and a method for designing the same are provided to reduce the number of states of the state machine in the protocol converter during the implementation of the circuit synthesizing. CONSTITUTION: A protocol converter by using the set of atom protocols includes a dual protocol. The dual protocol is provided with a plurality of sub-protocols. The dual protocol has the same state transition except the input and output direction in comparison with those of the first and the second processor protocols. Each of the sub-protocols is obtained by dividing the overall protocol and the input and output signal function is independent from the communication mate. And, each of the sub-protocols performs the cycle without ceasing the overall state of the state machine if the protocol is performed. The protocol converter is characterized in that it is designed in such a way that each of the sub-protocols is corresponding to a plurality of dual protocol modules, respectively.
