PURPOSE: A satellite communication method is provided to convert a communication line received by a mobile station while conversion indicate packets are transmitted from a gateway station, and to decide the line conversion based on a communication line quality, thereby surely capturing data packets transmitted through the communication line without omitting the data packets. CONSTITUTION: A gateway station(3) continuously transmits measurable packets(10) at periodic intervals. A mobile station(4) receives the measurable packets(10) by a communication line(6a), converts the line(6a) into a communication line(6b) corresponding to a peripheral communication area, and measures a line quality including an RSSI or a bit error rate. The mobile station(4) decides whether to convert the communication line(6a) based on measured results of the line quality.
