PURPOSE: An adhesive having polymeric nanoparticles is provided to improve, as compared to properties of an adhesive without containing polymeric nanoparticles(PNPs), rheology and wet film integrity, i.e., green strength in a wet composition, and to improve specific adhesion, peel-build characteristics, plasticizer and solvent migration resistance, gas-barrier properties, rheology for a low temperature processing, and reduced edge ooze and flow in a dry composition. The adhesive imparts improved converting, cutting and stripping to the adhesive article. CONSTITUTION: The adhesive comprises at least one substrate and at least one adhesive composition, wherein said adhesive composition comprises 80-100 weight%, based on the total weight of all polymeric ingredients, of polymeric nanoparticles having an average particle diameter of 1-50 nm, wherein said polymeric nanoparticles comprise at least one multi-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, as a polymerization unit.
