PURPOSE: A rocker arm is provided to reduce moment of inertia of the periphery of a pivot part and to improve response property of the rocker arm, by arranging the central position of a rocker arm body to the pivot part side. CONSTITUTION: A rocker arm(1) includes a rocker arm body(2) of a metal plate. The rocker arm includes a pivot part(8) longitudinally arranged to a first end side and a valve stem guide part(9) longitudinally arranged to a second end side. The central position of the rocker arm body is arranged between the longitudinal center and the center of the pivot part. The rocker arm further includes a pair of opposed wide wall parts(6) oppositely arranged in about a parallel state. In the longitudinal direction of the rocker arm body, a gap between the opposed side wall parts in the valve stem guide part is lower than a gap between the opposed side wall parts in another part.
