ELECTRODE FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION POTENTIAL SENSOR CAPABLE OF MEASURING ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION POTENTIAL OF ZIRCONIUM ALLOY

PURPOSE: An electrode for an electrochemical corrosion potential sensor is provided to measure an electrochemical corrosion potential of a zirconium alloy in an atomic furnace or under a condition in which property of chemical solution in coolant is varied. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for an electrochemical corrosion potential sensor includes an electrode tip(12) having a closed end(24) and an opened end(26). The opened end(26) is fixed to a ceramic insulator(14). A conductor wire(20) is extended into the electrode tip(12) through the ceramic insulator(14). The electrode tip(12) includes a zirconium alloy. The opened end(26) is brazed to one end of the ceramic insulator(14). An opposed end of the ceramic insulator(14) is substantially brazed to one end of a cylinder shape metal adaptor sleeve(16). The opened end(26) is brazed to one end of the ceramic insulator(14) by using a silver braze filler.
