A Study on the Design Supporting System Based Internet for Car-Ferry Initial Design

PURPOSE: An Internet based design aid system for an initial design of a car ferry is provided to smoothly share the information for a design with a shipyard and a design office, and make a ship owner receive the information for the ship to be designed from a designer in a short time through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The design information is exchanged between the small/middle shipyard and the design office through a PC based the Windows 2000 server/Professional by using the system. The execution of a program and the writing of data are performed through an Internet web browser such as the Internet Explorer version 5.5.
