High-quality Multimedia based Real-time Emergency Telemedicine Service system utilized by MPEGMotion Picture Experts Group

PURPOSE: A system for a telemedicine service based on a high quality multimedia using an MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) method is provided to prevent a delay of a medical treatment and enhance efficiency of the medical treatment by making a doctor in a remote place prescribe/give the medical treatment through the information transmission based on the multimedia using the MPEG method. CONSTITUTION: A patient diagnosis I/O(Input/Output) device receives the disease information of a patient from many measuring devices(112), displays the prescription and the diagnosis given from the doctor in the remote place, and is controlled by remote control. An MPEG CODEC(COder/DECoder)(120) generates an MPEG stream for the disease information and transmits the prescription information to the patient diagnosis I/O device. A TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) rendering filter(130) converts the MPEG stream into a TCP packet in real-time, and extracts the MPEG stream from the TCP packet for the prescription information. A TCP source filter(150) outputs the MPEG stream extracted from the disease information and converts the MPEG stream for the prescription information into the TCP packet.
