PURPOSE: An absorption type cooling and heating machine is provided to improve the utilization efficiency of exhaust heat without complicating constitution and control. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas burning regenerator(1) uses exhaust gas from an apparatus generating the exhaust gas as a heat source. Exhaust gas ducts(13,15) allow the exhaust gas to flow to the exhaust gas burning regenerator. A dilute solution conduit(25) guides a dilute solution from an absorber(9) to the exhaust gas burning regenerator. A low-temperature heat exchanger(49) is installed at an upstream side with respect to a flow of the dilute solution flowing in the dilute solution conduit for heat-exchanging with a concentrated solution. A high-temperature heat exchanger(47) is installed at a downstream side with respect to the flow of the dilute solution flowing in the dilute solution conduit for heat-exchanging with a solution of intermediate concentration. An exhaust gas heat recovering unit(51) is installed in the exhaust gas ducts for performing the heat exchange between the dilute solution flowing in a part between the low-temperature heat exchanger and the high-temperature heat exchanger of the dilute solution conduit, and the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust gas ducts.
