METHOD FOR LINKING USER WITH DIGITAL LICENSE OF DIGITAL CONTENTS AND LINKING USER WITH MULTIPLE COMPUTING DEVICES ON DRM SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for linking a user with a digital license of digital contents and linking the user with multiple computing devices on a DRM(Digital Right Management) system is provided to allow accessing of the encrypted digital contents on the computing device with only the parameters defined by a license right of a digital content user. CONSTITUTION: As other user by proxy for the user presents the PU-USER of the user with other proper information or presenting a user ID, the license is requested(603). Based on the user ID, it is judged that a record having the PU-USER is present in a user machine database(605). If the PU-USER is present, the PU-USER of the record is obtained(607). The PU-USER(KD) is obtained by using the PU-USER to encrypt a content key(KD) of the contents matched with the PU-USER and the licensed is generated by using the PU-USER(KD)(609). In case that the PU-USER is not present, the server generates/stores a new public/private key pair of the user in the user machine database(611).
