SYSTEM FOR GENERATING/VERIFYING ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE OF WINDOWS-BASE XML DOCUMENT BY SATISFYING STANDARD SYNTAX AND PROCESSING RULES OF THE XML ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

PURPOSE: A system for generating/verifying an electronic signature of a Windows-base XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document is provided to offer convenience to an enterprise manager by satisfying standard syntax and processing rules of the XML electronic signature while assuring safety exchange of the XML document, and performing a work for generating/verifying the XML document with a button operation. CONSTITUTION: If the ActiveX control calls a JVM(Java Virtual Machine)(334-2) when a user selects a signature/verification button on a user interface screen, the JVM interprets/executes the Java programs stored in a Java program storage(332). An electronic signal generating module(336) generates a message digest by applying a Hash function after reading the XML document selected through a window from an XML document storage(200), generates the signature document by encrypting the message digest with a sender key received from a key store(50), generates the electronic signature document by combining the XML document with the signature document, and outputs the electronic signature document to a transmitting/receiving module(310).
