MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL FOR MUSICAL PERFORMANCE AND EDITION AND METHOD THEREFOR, CONCERNED WITH STORING PERFORMED MUSIC AS AUDIO FILE SUCH AS MIDI AND MODIFYING/EDITING THE STORED AUDIO FILE

PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal for musical performance and edition is provided to store performed music as an audio file such as an MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface), and to modify/edit the stored audio file, thereby improving utility and enjoyment of audio contents. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(8) has a plurality of keys, and outputs key input data. A memory(20) stores programs and data for editing a stored audio file and performing music. A buffer(12) temporarily stores the music performed in an audio file edition mode and a music performance mode. If a key corresponding to a music performance mode setting up is inputted by a user, a controller(2) sets/stores the music performance mode, and temporarily stores the performed music while performing the music according to set up contents of the music performance mode. If a performed music storage request is received, the controller(2) stores the temporarily stored music as an audio file, and edits/stores the stored audio file. A sound source chip(14) converts the performed music into an analog signal to output as an original tone. A display(6) displays the set music performance mode and a stored audio file edition screen.
