PURPOSE: A metal or alloy plating layer having biaxial texture prepared by an electroplating method in which single crystal or the surface of metal or alloy with orientation similar to the single crystal is used as the cathode is provided, a method for preparing the metal or alloy plating layer is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method is characterized in that a plating layer with biaxial texture formed on the alloy or metal substrate is prepared by electroplating a plating solution on an alloy or metal substrate having single crystal or grain arrangement similar to the single crystal using an electroplating method such as direct current plating method, pulse current plating method or periodic reverse current plating electroplating, wherein the plating solution contains 100 to 400 g/L of nickel sulfate, 0 to 70 g/L of nickel chloride, 20 to 80 g/L of boric acid, 0 to 50 g/L of sodium sulfate, 0 to 10 g/L of NaWO3 and 0 to 10 g/L of cobalt chloride and has pH of 1.5 to 7 and temperature of 50 to 80 deg.C. The alloy or metal plating layer is characterized in that it is electroplated on single crystal or the surface of a metal or alloy with biaxial orientation similar to the single crystal so that the alloy or metal plating layer has a biaxial texture.
