FOUNDATION SETTING STRUCTURE OF COMPOSITE BREAKWATER FOR CONSTRUCTING FIRMLY AND IMPROVING ECONOMICAL EFFICIENCY BY MINIMIZING REINFORCING RANGE OF SOFT GROUND WHEN CONSTRUCTING BREAKWATER ON SOFT GROUND
PURPOSE: A foundation setting structure of a composite breakwater is provided to construct a bank firmly by functioning as a resistance and to construct an economical composite breakwater by minimizing the quantity of ripraps and the cost and period for construction. CONSTITUTION: The foundation setting structure of a composite breakwater comprises the steps of piling up many hollow blocks(10) vertically to be narrower than the width of the existing breakwater(1) on the open sea side and the inland sea side of the soft ground(3), filling up an inner space of the hollow block(10) with ripraps(11) to make the hollow blocks(10) be inner and outer boundary walls(12,12a), filling up a space between boundary walls(12,12a) with ripraps(13) to be a composite breakwater(1), placing cap concrete(20) on the upper part of a bank, paving hanging projection plates(14,14a) to the uppermost hollow block(10) of the boundary walls(12,12a), placing covering stones(16,16a) on inclines(15,15a) of a bank between the hanging projection plates(14,14a) and cap concrete(20), and piling up wave-dissipating blocks such as tetrapod, etc.(17) on the upper part of the covering stone(16) of the outer incline(15).
