OCTAVE EXPANDING METHOD OF A MUSICAL PERFORMANCE BY USING A PORTABLE TERMINAL, CONCERNED WITH FREELY PERFORMING MUSIC IN AT LEAST THREE OCTAVE MUSICAL RANGES WITH A SELECTED SOUND SOURCE

PURPOSE: An octave expanding method of a musical performance by using a portable terminal is provided to make musical scales of one octave correspond to keys of a keypad, and to designate the octave by using side keys, then to define the octave with one hand which supports a portable terminal while pressing sounds assigned to the keys with other hand. CONSTITUTION: Musical scales of one octave are assigned to number keys(12) of a keypad(10) of a portable terminal. Side keys(13,14) of the portable terminal are assigned to select the octave. When a user selects a sound assigned to the keypad by pressing the side keys(13,14) one by one or a combination thereof or the user does not press the side keys(13,14), the corresponding sound is outputted at the preset octave. At least more than three octave musical ranges are selected by setting each octave while pressing one or a combination of the side keys(13,14).
