PURPOSE: Fluorinated aromatic diamines and synthetic methods thereof are provided. The compounds have improved thermal properties, chemical resistance, and mechanical and electrical properties, so that they can be suitable for polymer or micro-thin film insulation polymer. CONSTITUTION: The method for synthesis of fluorinated aromatic diamines comprises the steps of: (1) dissolving aromatic diamine compound in methanol, adding triethylamine and dimethylaminopyridine into the diamine solution, and slowly adding dropwise of dialkyldicarbonate dissolved in 50 mole% of methanol into aromatic diamine with stirring to prepare carbamic acid ester; (2) dissolving the carbamic acid ester in N,N-dimethylacetamide, adding 4,8-dibromobenzo(1,2,-c'4,5-c')difuran-1,3,5,7-tetraone into the mixture, stirring the mixture at room temperature for 12 hours, adding acetic dianhydride and pyridine into the mixture, and stirring the mixture at 50 deg. C to prepare 4,8-dibromo-2,6-bis-(4-phenylpyrrolo-(3,4-f)isoindol-1,3,5,7-tetraone)-carbamic acid ester intermediate; (3) reacting the intermediate with perfluorinated aromatic compound with one hydroxy to prepare 4,8-bis-(perfluoroaryoxy)-2,6-bis-(4-phenylpyrrolo(f,4-f)isoindol-1,3,5,7-tetraone)-carbamic acid ester precursor; and (4) adding the precursor into trifluorinated acetic acid at -10 deg. C, stirring the mixture at room temperature for 48 hours, distilling the mixture under reduced pressure, dissolving the distilled product in ethylacetate, and neutralizing it with sodium bicarbonate.
