PURPOSE: A control method of a vehicle stability control system is provided to control optimally slip ratio of wheels by a multiple sliding mode control method and to reduce operation noise of a solenoid valve for controlling hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a vehicle stability control system outputs sliding planes corresponding to a state of a wheel and to hydraulic pressure, respectively, and accordingly performs control operations. The sliding plane for controlling braking power generated from the wheels is presented as a following formula. s1=kv-rw, s2=p-pd. The s1 is a first sliding plane(linear wheel slip). The s2 is a second sliding plane(hydraulic pressure). The v is velocity. The w is angular velocity. The k and the r are constants. The p is the hydraulic pressure of the wheel. The pd is the pressure of virtual input.
