PURPOSE: A DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) system for digital broadcasting is provided to realize a protocol and control function for receiving digital broadcasting in a DSLAM equipment, thereby supplying a very high speed Internet service to DSL subscribers by using the DSLAM equipment. CONSTITUTION: When channel selection information and subscriber authentication information are received, a VTU(VDSL Termination Unit)(110) divides into ATM cells through a cell router(112), transmits the ATM cells to an AAA server to authenticate the cells, and receives digital broadcasting to transmit the broadcasting to each STB. A BIU(Broadcasting Interface Unit)(120) extracts a CCP message from a UDP packet received from the STB, and generates a channel select request IPC, and transmits the generated IPC to an MCU(Main Control Unit)(140). An NIU(Network Interface Unit)(130) receives a digital broadcasting signal to transmit the signal to an ATM bus. The MCU(140) analyzes a message transmitted from the VTU(110), copies a digital broadcasting stream, and transmits the copied digital broadcasting stream to the STB.
