An off-line system for borrowing-returning of an article using RFID tag

PURPOSE: A system for offline lending/returning an article using an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag is provided to normally perform a lending/returning work including a bad member handling process even if the system is not connected to a database storing the article information and the member information through a network. CONSTITUTION: A portable storing device(22) stores the bad member information and the particulars for a lending process of the article. A member card(20) is equipped with the RFID tag(18). An antenna(12) transmits/receives various information such as the member information, a lending limit, an ID number of the article, and the lending information stored in the RFID tag(14) attached to the article(16). A reader reads the information transmitted/received from the antenna(12). A controlling device performs the lending or returning process after confirming the suitability of the member by comparing the information of the RFID tag from the reader with the bad member information stored in the portable storing device(22), and stores the result to the portable storing device(22).
