PURPOSE: A transgenic tomato capable of mass-producing anticancer substances is provided, therefore the tomato can be used in a special diet for a patient suffering from cancer. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant vector pBIstsyv1 contains the anticancer resveratrol gene isolated from Vitis vinifera x Vitis labrusca and having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. The transformed Agrobacterium LBA4404/pBIstsyvl (KCCM-10284) is produced by inserting the recombinant vector pBIstsyv1 into Agrobacterium LBA4404. The transformed tomato is produced by transforming tomato with the transformed Agrobacterium LBA4404/pBIstsyvl (KCCM-10284).
