PURPOSE: Provided is an automatic control system for the stably and economically control of external carbon feeding to a second anoxic zone (denitrification basin) for treating wastewater with low C/N ratio. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a second anoxic reaction zone for denitrifying effluent that is nitrified in a first and second aerobic zones, an ORP sensor and meter for detecting oxidation-reduction potential in the anoxic zone, and a PID controller for maintaining a set point of the detected ORP values, and a digital pump connected to an external carbon source tank for feeding external carbon source to the anoxic zone based on the changed ORP values.
