PURPOSE: A noise reduction device of an outlet valve for a hermetic rotary compressor is provided to reduce friction noise of the outlet valve by installing a resonant groove to a retainer part. CONSTITUTION: A hermetic rotary compressor has an upper bearing(6) having an outlet hole(6a) to be communicated to an outlet port; an outlet valve(110) opening and shutting the outlet hole; and a retainer(120) restricting and elastically supporting the opened height of the outlet valve. In the hermetic rotary compressor, the retainer is put upon the upper side of the outlet valve and is fastened to the upper bearing. The retainer has a resonant groove. The resonant groove absorbs the impact noise generated by collisions by the vertical movement when the outlet valve opens and shuts the outlet hole and induces and reduces the resonant noise. The resonant groove forms a groove at the bottom surface of an elastic support part of the retainer contacted by the vertical movement of the outlet valve. Thus, the noise generated in a cylinder of the compressor is reduced.
